Further Along?

Hi according to my doctor i am 28 weeks today but i think i may be further along. They are going bye what the ultrasound said other then my lmp. I was already late for my period when there saying i conceived. How does the ultrasound determine gestational age? Also everytime theyve measured my belly it has went along with the amount of weeks i think i am Which would be 30 weeks tomorrow.. can anyone help.. ive included a picture taken today to see what everyone thinks.. i hope i am right!

ok so im looking at some papers givin to me by my doctor awhile back and under ultrasound dating information it says first us was on 09/09/2010 and gest age was 7weeks 6days then it says edc 03/20/2011 does this mean i could have her on march 20th?

Yes, The scan shouldve been around 12 wk or earlier..... sorry... i didnt mentian that.... If you had it later then 12 wk. then it may be wrong....

it depends on when you had the ultrasound.. earlier ultrasounds are the most accurate. around 12 weeks is when you get the most accurate measure. my due date wasn't by my lmp either, but by my 12 week scan.

And you look about 6-7 months.

You cant be "further" along..... Early ultrasounds are usually 90-100% right. I had a HUGE belly with DD and a tiny one with my son. IT differs. And no i never thought "im not as far" along as they think. It depends on how you carry. I think everyone wishes they WERE further along indeed, just for the pure fact of getting to meet their lo.

Have u not had any earlier scans ?? U can't really go by later ultrasounds cos the baby could be smaller or larger, also I wouldn't take note of measuring your stomach either I'm 29 weeks n n my fh is measuring 33 weeks..
