BETA numbers

Hi Everyone I have  question and need help. RE just called and I had took 2-HPT tests and came out Positive.. I had went for blood work this morning and it was 37 :( She had said its low but is Positive. I had a m/c back in Sept/2008 and started back on the fertility again in Dec.. I had my IUI on Jan 29 and now she wants me to take Progesterone Suppositores, Aspirin 81mg, Metformin (Which I am already on) and Prenatal Vitamins. Now my question should I be worried? I have to go for more bloodwork on friday and she did say the numbers can be doubles and be Ok.. I am worried and stressed out just thinking back to sqaure one, does anyone have any insights on this? Can you let me know. Thanks!

Thanks so much, I know I shouldnt worry or stress but to late I already am.. How far along are you? I do have PCOS and why I miscarried last time is because it was a chromsome abnormality (Bad egg fertilitied) so the Metformin will help she said. I am so bummed as I dont want to have another m/c and I know its early on but still worried. She had said she has had cases where HCG numbers are low and after taking all the meds especially aspirin and progesterone then can be ok? How long have you been taking these meds? I am just freaking out and so worried I am glad you had responded but still worried I am just about 3-weeks I would say..

First of all, don't worry! I am right here with you and freaking out myself. I have PCOS so I take Metformin (2000mg). I am also taking progesterone and prenatal vitamins. I had a miscarriage in November (3 months ago) and another one in 2006. But I also have two daughters, one born after my first miscarriage.

There is hope. Don't give up! Those pills are all meant to be a help to prevent another miscarriage from happening. And the great news is that you don't have to take all of them the whole pregnancy! Just until 10-12 weeks along. So look at them in this positive light. Also, a low HCG level this early on is not a bad thing. The point is that they need to double every 72 hours.
