has anyone had a similar story? or adivce?

okay so wen i went in for my first ultra sound tha doctor couldnt find my baby (i was nine weeks) he had me scheduled to go agen in two more weeks to try to see if he could find it. well this saturday i was spotting brown blood very lightly on my underwear evryone was telling me this was normal but due to the news my doctor gave me i wanted to go to the hospital. well wen i was there they took it very seriously (i was so thankful) they did a number of test inculding a plevic exam to make sure my cervix wasnt opening which would mean i was miscarrying (it wasnt opening thank GOD!) they did the internal and external ultrasound and still couldnt find my baby. they brought in the doppler to find my babys heart beat AND THEY FOUND iT! i was so happy and relieved nothin ever felt so good. 20 seconds later the nurse says to hold on he needs to find my babys heart beat agen cuz it picked up mine there for a second. well when the doctor reveiwed the video from my ultrasound and saw tha same thing my other doctor saw that there was no baby he mustve thought the nurse made a mistake cuz the nurse and the doctor came in to do it agen and i knew why. well they did agen and you could see the doctor was very happy they found it and when i started smiling he said "thats a good sign mommys smiling" i felt so special. later on he explaind that he didnt have an explantion why there was no baby in the ultra sound but a heart he said its good news and bad news...he said he thinks that i was suppose to have twins and my other baby stoppd developing and thats the baby that the ultra sound picks up and the other twin is still good and thats the bay the doppler picked up. well when i went to my doctor today i explained to him wat the other doctor said and he looked at me if i was crazy. he lookd at my ultra sound and explain i either miscarried or its in my tubes. he looked at my tubes and said he doesnt see any sign of a baby in there but he cant be exact. so he took my hormone levels and i have to go again on friday to take them again...then again on wensday to see the results. im not sad im jus angry i feel lik i was so relieved and happy and now its a slap in tha face. i feel like my baby has to fine but i really dont want to give myself false hope but i certaintly dont want to do  a D&C or something else like that and regret it later....i was wondering if any of you could give m advice or see if any of your guyz had a similar story as mine?

Must be they did draw Hcg levels, as they usually draw a couple of sets 48-72 hours apart to see if they rise...If they do rise...that means everything should be A-OK!  If you want to learn more about Hcg, go to http://www.americanpregnancy.org/duringpregnancy/hcglevels.html
It gives some good info. on it and it's pretty easy to understand......
I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you!

Hcg levels will give you a more definate answer as to whether or not the pregnancy is viable.....Did your Dr. at your OB office try to get a HB after your ER incident?  I find that many offices in the US are very neglectful of patients....I had a similar situation in Dec.  went for U/S, found no heartbeart but found twins....they immedately asked if I wanted to sign consent for a D&C (that day) and I refused....I felt fine, we were terribly upset and I didn't feel could make the right decision at that moment due to my state of mind....DH was tearing up, etc.  I couldn't believe that they would want to do a D&C without further testing, b/c I've read so many similar cases with happy endings....Anyway, I had my Hcg drawn (my suggestion to the Dr) and the levels dropped...so I ended up going ahead with the D&C...
Point being, you need to do what you feel is right for you...DOn't do anything that you would regret b/c you can't take it back........I think that you will be able to better decide what to do after you get lab results......At least I did.
Tons of Luck and I'm sorry that you are going thru this......Please keep us all posted on the outcome.

she went for an ultrasound and they told her thye couldn't find the baby snd sent her to a special hospital with better technology where they couldn't see the baby and told her that she needed to have a d&c but she refused- baby was born early and was only 2lbs12 oz. i think she was like 16 weeks because they also suggested an amnio which she also refused

i know someone who they couldn't find the baby past our date but she is a healthy 6 yr old today. when i has a 6 week u/s all it was was a flicker of the heartbeat. so try to be patient.. where i'm from they don't even try to find heartbeat until 14 weeks and your first u/s is at 20 weeks (unless there is a problem)
