Babies weight is at 13 percentile? Normal?

Okay, I'm currently 38 weeks +.
I'm getting anther growth ultrasound Monday. My last ultrasound I was 36wks 1 days. The tech said she is healthy and all just small.. I went for my appointment Friday and they told me I'll be getting an ultrasound Monday.. The only reason in so nervous and worried us because they act so sneaky about it whispering in the same room as where I am... Blahh.. Not to mention it took forever for the nurse to find her heartbeat but when she did it was perfectly normal!... Any advice ladies? Thank you :)

Its just baby is on smaller side. Im 37.3 weeks and my son is in the 7th percentile for weight. They have just been monitoring my a little closer. Ive had weekly ultrasounds since 32 weeks so they could keep and eye on him.

Well,  there are certainly people who are small and very healthy.  Not everyone who is healthy is an average size -

And I agree that there is nothing wrong with taking a long time to find the heartbeat,  if it's normal once it's found.

Have you been measuring average and now the baby's growth has slowed?  You do have the right to just ask if they suspect something is wrong - and it sounds like they do from that whispering behavior.

There is nothing unusual about it taking a while to find the heartbeat
