Tried posting in a nother forum and no answers...signs of pregnancy and no one to ask

To start out I'm 25 and have been with my boyfriend for about a year and a half, my mother passed away a few years ago, and I don't have anyone to ask about my situation. The start of my last cycle was 9/28/11, my cycle ranges from about 25 days (which was the length of my last cycle) up to about 30 days. So anywhere between that is normal for me. Last week, about a week before I would have started I spotted just slightly, and probably wouldn't have noticed it, but my boyfriend did after intercourse. I was a little concerned because it was earlier than I had ever started before, but then I never actually started. I kind of just dismissed it and thought perhaps I had bled a little during sex for whatever reason, but then yesterday I noticed the smell of hand sanitizer was so strong it almost made me sick and the same with the smell of gasoline at the gas pump yesterday evening. When I did some research based on the start of my last cycle, the spotting corresponds with "implantation bleeding", and if I am pregnant I would be technically about 3 weeks along. Is that too early to experience some nausea and heightened smell? If my cycle is the same as last month, 25 days, then I am about 4 days late, if I go off the average 28 day cycle then I am still a day late. I am trying not to stress because I know that makes it worse, but I don't know if I should wait to test, or try it now. I would have to test and get a false negative, but the wait is horrible. Since I've never been pregnant before I don't know if this is what some other women experience in the first weeks of pregnancy or not, and I don't have anyone to ask. Any help is appreciated

I am pregnant with my second and I'll tell you that I'm normally sensitive to smells and that was the first thing to heighten even more with both! The nausea has been very different with this pregnancy than with my son (I had just turned 25 when I found out I was pregnant).  I would suggest you take a test now and just see what it says.  If you're still concerned that it was a false negative or false positive (less likely) then go as soon as possible to your doctor.  Just remember, sometimes the more we think up symptoms, the more they "appear"...I've made myself feel pregnant while we were trying lol. Good luck!

Thank you for all the answers, I tried First Response, but it was in the afternoon and it was negative, but I still haven't started as of this morning. I have another test and may try tomorrow morning if I still am late. And I may try using Clear Blue. I have some cramping, I had attributed it to being so close to my period but my other signs haven't appeared, my face always breaks out about a week before my period, usually just one or two blemishes, but I haven't had anything at all. I coulnd't see a second line at all on the test. I'm not sure at this point if I want to see one or not! I have very mixed feelings. I want a baby, but certainly hadn't planned on having one yet! I will wait a day or two more and see what happens. I appreciate all the responses and advice!

When I found out I was pregnant I was already 5 weeks pregnant and took a test in the morning. I used Clear Blue because first response was negative at day 5. So waiting just at least 10-14 days after missing your period you will get a more accurate result but if you are that late you would have already suspected it. I think right away I was getting cramping like implantation but I don't remember anything making me sick prior to week 5.

I would test, but not tonight, use first morning urine as that has the most concentrate of hcg in it, use the dye test as well as the digital ones arnt as sensitive, dont forget that false neg are quite common and even if the  second line is faint then you are pregnant, good luck

I've certainly made myself believe I was pregnant before as well, and I was determined not to do that this time! But I know that some of it may very well be subconscious, however I feel very different than I have the other times I've thought I was. I may try testing tonight, just to ease my mind a little, and then if I don't start in a few days try another again next week

No, it's not too early. I've had symptoms like that 4 DAYS after intercourse, and have heard numerous other women say the same. And gasoline is the worst. Medical research hasn't caught up yet, but many pregnant women report noticing early symptoms that may be coming directly from the implanted fetuses, or from the surge in hormones that hits their bodies after conception. Most, but certainly not all, women don't get nausea till 6 weeks.

A hormonal imbalance can also mess with your mind and trick you into feeling pregnant though. Since you're irregular, you could take a test now but to avoid a false result I'd advise waiting until you're sure you have skipped this month. Don't forget to do it first thing in the morning, before drinking anything. :-) Good luck!

If your three weeks that's when you are technically pregnant so with every pregnancy all woman are different but your symptoms could very well be from pregnancy.  If you think you are take a pee test that will let you know but if your worried make an ob appointment to double check
