I am just wanting to hear anyone's story about their attempt (and hopefully success) in VBAC delivery. I am 13 weeks with my second. My first was delivered via caeserean delivery because of a breech position. I would like to do my research before making a final decision about trying to VBAC myself. Thanks!

ya that would be cause for a csection all right! and the chances of that occuring again are way slimmer... a vbac is a really good option at this point for you.... i would so give it a try if it was me

See my daughter was face up, the Dr said her head was arched backs so she wasnt coming down.. my Dr is all for trying again or not, whatever i want, if this one drops ahead of time(lol drops "a head" ya im lame i know it!) i may consider it but i dont have high hopes... i really think that with both my mom and me having exact outcomes that maybe out birth canals are smaller... and maybe i have babies with big heads! lol i am very much a clone of my mother in every way so i dont think its a coincidence and i dont want to get induced ever again so... i dono... and i know how much better a vag delivery is for recovery than a c section but its the thought of going thru all i went thru before and having the same outcome... i was 12 days overdue, and had a failed induction(i got to 7cm)... which had her head against my spine the entire time with every contraction... it was unreal! so it was a rough go before the csection and it wasnt till 24 hours of contractions that a c section was decided... so im kinda wimping out in a way but if i dont have to...ya know... but in your case it wasnt anything that shouldnt be different this round... like i said id give it a go...

He was frank breech so he had some crazy legs when he was born. Haha. He is 21 months old and I am due august 2nd. So it would be about 19 months between delivery and conception. He was a pretty average sized baby; 7lbs 5 ozs. My son never dropped either, but I think it was his position. The slim chance that something could go terribly awry is not large, but the consequence is so heavy, I am still unsure if I want to take the chance. I will be in a hospital with a doctor who supports trial of labor.

I have a friend who had a VBAC after two previous c-sections.  She researched it, a lot, got a midwife she was comfortable with and did a home delivery.  It was basically her only choice because there are no hospitals around here that will deliver via VBAC after two c-sections.  All went well for her too!

What breech position was the last baby in? Given that its something that occured that isnt likely to happen again gives you a pretty good chance of having a good outcome this round!

i have considered a vbac but i dont think the odds are with me that i will have success this round... My Dr is more than willing to try but i think ive already decided.... When is your due date? How big was your baby last time and how long ago was the c section...

Im due July 20th and it will be 2 years to the month since i had my daughter... she never dropped and was 9lbs 2 oz, 12 days over, and her head was in the 95th percentile.... and my mom with her first pregnancy had the exact same outcome as me, never dropped and csection as last resort... so part of me is curious if id have the same outcome again.... but the other part doesnt want to chance it....

i've had 3 successful vbac's. two of them the doctors wanted to schedule c sections, the third i had a nurse midwife. as long as there were no serious problems, it shouldn't be a problem. my c section was because my son had a death grip on his cord...lol

A good friend of mine had a VBAC...she had her first by c-section cuz the epidural stopped all labor and progress...she had a completely text book vaginal delivery w/#2...no complications at all...so it is absolutely possible. Good Luck :)
