Baby Shower ?s

So Im pg w my first baby a lil boy!! YEAH LOL!! We started to think of the planning for the shower prolly gonna be the end of April I was just wondering should i buy anything b4 hand should i wait and just make a list of what Im missing?? I bought a few onesies and blanket i had my eye on nothing major but we need EVERYTHING!! So i dont know what im gonna need what im gonna be missing etc... How did you ladies go about with your first baby?

Im registering at buy buy baby, babies r us, and target.
Im having two baby showers.. one here where I live and one in san francisco to accommodate my fiances whole family.
Having more than one registry was their requests so they could have a variety of options.

My shower is in April too (I think we're both due in June?) and I'm trying to hold off on buying most things. I did buy furniture for the baby's room, crib, rocker and such. Some people have already given me things, hand-me-downs but otherwise I only buy if it's inexpensive and I think it's the cutest thing ever.

Instead I'm working on a registry list, and I figure I should have plenty of time to fill in whatever I don't get at the shower.

Baby R Us had a huge selection of everything so that's where I'm doing mine. I would wait til after the shower to start shopping on my own since you can buy them at a discount then. If your shower is close to your due date make sure you have at least some items at hand just in case the lil one want to join the party too.

You could also do one on-line for retailers like Baby R Us. I never went in the store so I don't see why you would have to have an outlet in your own town to do one. They have a program through which, after your shower, you can buy items from your registry at a discount.

dont do target, i did mine at target, they suck, after ur shower u will get a lot of itemes that u would not even need them, some of  those people may be give u gift rigestery or not. if they give u the gift registery u are ok , but if u dont have the gift rigestery u can just retun up 75 dollars using ur driver licences , and after that u stock with those itemes and no more returen for u until next year. i think walmart is better then target. good luck

Target is a good one but I know how u feel about only having walmart... we are the. Same way and its frustrating. Good luck

Ok i need to start that i just cant decide which store i wanna use for my registery my town basically only has walmart which is why i was gonna do an online deal but not sure yet im doing a cowboy theme for my son so gotta go through em and see which ones i like!

Wait til u see what u get. Register for your crib and stroller and all the big stuff to cuz sometimes people will go in together to get a big item for u. But u will get a lot for your shower. I've started buying things like diapers and wipes and soap and stuff like that just cuz even tho u get some you will always need more!

We plan on registering and after the shower look and make a list of what we are missing and go from there. I'm sure there will be lots of gift cards to use too.
