my family is convinced its bad luck to buy any baby things before you know the sex of the baby...i stick by this and once i found out it was a girl....well i started shopping shopping....actually ill be hitting target and picking up a few more things today :)
that outfit is adorable though :)
I did that after my 3rd baby, but I knew I wasn't done, I really really wanted a boy and was buying all kinds of crap...fortunately I DID have a boy shortly after LOL
I have before! I have a few boy outfits and all I have are girls. LOL!
i have heard that its bad luck to buy anything before 12 weeks, so i didnt buy anything till i was like over 30 weeks cause i was so nervous of having something happen, cause my MIL bought something before 12 weeks and i guess im superstitious.. lol
I didn't buy anything with my first pregnancy until I was 12wks and then two days later I found out I had a missed m/c. I had signed up for a ton of free things online and received things in the mail for the next year. I also knew I would some day try again so I did purchase a few sleepers I found that were too adorable to pass up. I never bought any gender specific items though.
I haven't been able to shop yet and I'm 26 weeks now 3 wks till baby shower then I get to go shopping!!!
The day after DH and I found out we were at Target and found an LA Dodgers onsie (our favorite baseball team). So we bought it, figured team colors are gender-neutral. We used it to surprise my in-laws about the baby news, but we haven't bought any clothes ever since. I probably won't until after the baby shower. And even then, the grandparents-to-be will be buying us loads of things. So, I'm only going to buy an outfit or two that I can't resist - like the baseball onsie.
I should clarify, we didn't find out we were at Target, we found out about the pregnancy and then we went to Target LOL. The pooh outfit is so adorable BTW.
