Baby finally here!

I was scheduled to be induced on Monday. Well they gave me two types of medication to help me dilate. The first was a thin cotton looking strip. It was inserted to help me dilate and thin as I had not. This did not work for me at all. I was then given cervidil which is a pill inserted near the cervix. Wow. All I have to say. This made me contract and go up from not dilated to a 6 in a few hours! I was scheduled to get pitocin but my nurse forgot to hook it up to my iv. I was at a 9 one hour after finding out I was a 6. No need for pitocin at all.  I did get am epidural as I could not handle the pain. The epidural worked wonders and did not hurt to get. Rather just uncomfortable. A few mins after I was said to be at a 9 my baby was ready to come out. I was now at a 10 with his head already sticking out. I pushed for a good 10 minutes and my baby boy was born:) I am so happy. He is healthy and has lots of hair! I delivered at 39 weeks 1 day. I wish the rest of you moms waiting to deliver good luck!

@hab63380 so sorry I never saw your comment! Just got released from hospital so been busy resting since I gave birth. I think the pill works but also could vary person to person like all medicine.  I hope your induction went good!
