Just like melib said, all your work jeeds is a tentative date which would be your due date. If you have the baby before or after that date then the paperwork for your leave will be adjusted. with my first I was due January 22 and went into labor on the 17th so they just adjusted the date of my leave to start the 17th. There's never really a for sure date for pregnancy so jobs allow you to work until the baby comes and then justs adjusts your paperwork as needed. Wanting a for sure date is usually not good enough reason for an induction for most doctors. If there is a health concern then that's a reason. Or like in my case with this baby I'm due April 3rd, and my work is closing its doors tomorrow so I will not have a job. My work is payibg dor me to have insurance until March 31st so my doctor will induce no earlier than a week for insurance purposes
Your work can ask for a tenative date of delivery thats all. You go to the doctor and they will write a letter telling your job when you are expected to give birth and if they see any future complications. The doctor will not sre that as a valid reason.
