Balanced Translocation

Hey all...so we did end up miscarrying...the pregnancy wasn't viable and my levels just weren't doubling like they should. They ran tests and the doctor suspects I have Balanced Translocation. has anyone heard of this? Any information you have will be greatly appreciated. From what I have found out, it looks like it's just that you have a higher risk of mc than others...my husband and I both are going for labwork next week to confirm/rule out...

I have a balanced translocation. You do have higher risk of mc. I could be pregnant every month but it pass before I even miss a period. You are at a slighter more risk of having a child with disabilites depending on which translocation you have. Mine is robertsonian chromosome translocation so I am a little higher risk to have a down syndrome baby. Don't let this discourage you though. I have a perfectly healthy 3 1/3 year old little girl and may have one on the way! Good luck with everything!

First off, I don't know what just happened that I checked you as "best answer"!! Not that there was anything wrong with your answer, it just happened and you are the only one to answer so far :)

I'm remaining hopeful that I can carry a baby and have a baby. Before I was worried about getting pregnant but have been preggo 3 times...sadly all resulting in a mc. The first I did not have a D/C with. But the last 2 I did and only the last one displayed these crazy results. I'm trying to figure it out and see what my plan will be, but they said these results will take 2 wks. Did you have to go the IVF route? So you are at higher risk for down syndrome but had healthy baby?
