So my Best friend has a son who is now one and still hasn't gotten her period back, how do you know when your ovulating if you don't have it?

No even though you are bf and not getting your period you can get your period my doctor told me get on birth control as soon as i can after i have my baby because many women think they wont get prego since they dont have their period and winde up pregnant & taking care of a new born! Also i didnt have my period for 6 months and om now 20 weeks preg with my first

Breast feeding prevents the release of the hormone in charge of ovulation. Many women who exclusively breast feed do not get a period until they wean their child (so if child is 2 when stops bf mom should start getting periods again, etc.).

If you are breast feeding it could be awhile before you get your period. My friend breast fed and didnt get her period for over a year

yes BF can affect you of having your period :) its happened to my sister with all three of her sons :) but im no doctor im just going off of what i was told by my sister :)

you typically dont ovulate if you dont have a period and since she hasnt had a period since her last pregnancy, it could take ages for it to come back, my friends baby is 9 months old! and her periods have completely stopped, but if she goes to her doctor and tell's them they should try and induce her periods thats what my friend done, i hope they come back soon.
