Did you have any discomfort or pain while having sex? Is your period due soon? There are many reasons to bleed.

And here's a little background on pregnancy. If you have a typical 28-day cycle (your period comes every 28 days) you will ovulate about 2 weeks after the first day of your period. If your cycles are longer then you'll ovulate later (about 14 days BEFORE your next period is the rule).

So unless you had unprotected sex before this incident you wouldn't become pregnant and bleed within a span of 30 minutes. Conception and implantation take time. Implantation (when the fertilized embryo embeds in the uterine lining) happens about 7-12 days AFTER conception (when the sperm fertilizes the egg).

Hope that wasn't confusing. I would think the bleeding is not pregnancy-related especially as sex is safe during pregnancy and won't cause miscarriage.

If you check out the anatomy of a woman you'll find that the uterus is tucked up high enough to be out of your partner's penis. However between the vagina and the uterus is something called the cervix which acts as a blockade to protect an unborn baby in the womb.

Bleeding after intercourse is not a sign of pregnancy. It is most likely caused by an allergic to reaction (for example if you are allergic to latex and used condoms) or sensitive cervix.
