Braxton Hicks

Is it possible to have Braxton Hicks contractions when you are only 2 or 3 weeks pregnant?

You wouldn't start feeling braxton hicks until about the second half for your pregnancy. What your feeling right now might just be your uterus expanding. Good luck! :)

Thank you so much.....from what you have described it seems like more of the ligament pains. This would be my 2nd pregnancy, if I am pregnant, but I dont remember this feeling from my first. Mostly that full, bloated feeling with seldom sharp pains. Not sure if I am yet...as I am past due for my period...but also have poly-cycstic ovarian syndrom, so have had a hard time getting pregnant.

Early on in pregnancy you sometimes get round ligament pain.  It's from your uterus muscles relaxing and beginning to stretch.

With my first pregnancy I'd get really sharp pains sometimes when I did something too quickly, standing up, sneezing, etc.  I had a perfectly normal and wonderful pregnancy.

My other two pregnancies have been mostly that crampy full feeling that you get right before your period.

Actual contraction pains would be rare this early on.  They would concern me more and you probably want to call your OB if they feel like actual rhythmic contractions.
