Breathing Problem

Hi, I am trying to get some help.
It all started at 16 wks pregnant (end of July). I felt like my heart was pounding and like a weight was sitting on my chest-somewhat short of breath.

The ER sent me home bc they couldn't find anything wrong. Then two hrs. later they said I had a blood clot in my lung and to come back. So, I started on Lovenox shots for four months. I felt like no matter how much I breathed like I couldn't get enough air - I was constantly hyperventilating. I was sent to a lung specialist. He looked at my old scans-he doesn't think I ever had a blood clot in the first place.

I had my baby Jan. 12th. Normal Vaginal Delivery without an epidural. Since then I feel really constricted breathing. It feels tight around my lungs, ribs, and below in the stomach area. I've had VQ scans, another CT, echocardiogram, lung function tests, blood work, thyroid, etc. They can't figure out what is going on. I hardly have an appetite and I've lost 11 pounds in 12 wks. My weight is now somewhat stable at 104 lbs. I've always weighed around 115 since 9th grade!!  I recently quit breastfeeding because I didn't feel he was getting enough nutrients due to my lousy appetite and weight loss.

I had a barium swallow done which revealed a small hernia and acid reflux. I've had reflux since childhood, but never felt like this EVER! I also had another Echo done a few days ago...waiting on the results.

So, now my pulmonologist is sending me to a GI specialist. I am miserable. I get out of breath doing simple things. I am always uncomfortable breathing. So, any suggestions. Or have you ever heard of something like this after pregnancy?

I noticed in the shower my feet sometimes turn a shade of purple, but after moving them around they return to normal. I just feel like there is a band around my chest. I am so uncomfortable breathing, it feels like torture.

Could my hernia have come from the delivery? Any ideas?? I love my baby so much (he's 3 mths), but if I knew this would all happen, I would have waited!!
Sometimes my stomach feels a little swollen at the end of the day. It is a little more swollen on the left than the right.

I have respiratory alkalosis - hyperventilating still..but you can't tell by looking at me. I feel like I can't breathe comfortably
