It's kinda deflating isn't it @mckennahall. She was my first too. For the whole time I was in hospital I had doctors from all departments visit me! Anaesthetists, physics, surgeons and midwives! They all came reassuring me, telling me not to be put off. And that I could deliver vaginally next time etc... Just sucked cos my waters had been broken over 24 hours. When I went into theatre for my section I was 9cm... So if I coulda had that little but longer. I mighta done it
I was induced due to preeclampsia; it ended in a C section because she was to big to fit through my pelvis :( this was my first baby so I understand where your coming from..I rlly wanted a vaginal delivery and bawled when I couldn't. Im happy to have my healthy beautiful girl but idk abt having anymore sections..
I was induced for health reasons. My water broke but no contractions. So they had to start me off due to risk of infection... Plus my bp was up. Can't really say no when it's risking my baby lol... I guess, at least I did get to experience part of it... Just being selfish lol
I didn't experience labor at all. Nothing worked to start labor for me so I had emergency c section.
My doctor refuses under any circumstance to let me have vaginal birth. I was thinking about waiting at home until I'm to far in labor then go to the hospital. But she had already told me, she will not deliver vaginally.
I had a c section but it didn't bother me I was just ready for labor to be over n to hold my baby girl no matter vaginal or c section u still experienced labor which is something a lot of women can't experience n even tho the healing process is longer I think its a lil easier cuz we don't have a swolen hurting vajay jay lbvs but my doctor said I can try pushing next time just depends on if I dilate this time n if my baby isn't to big for my body I can't push any baby over 6 pounds
U guys know that U can say no to the doc if they want to induce you for no reasond. If U guys have a healthy pregnancy with no problems then inducing should even be an option(of corse if it dosnt give u or baby an danger). Seems these few years doc goes for inducion and c sec because it easier for them.
And U can defentlig give a vaginal birth after a c sec, if Ur having also a good pregnancy. If U really want to do a natural birth then insist on doing it. Many midwifea here in UK want people to do natural delivery most even after a c sec(as long as U and the baby are safe).
I was up and walking the next day after my c section. It hurt like hell at first but the sooner you get up and move, the faster and better you heal. I was walking normal in 4 days.
My recovery was great. I don't have a big scar and it healed perfectly so it looks like my natural bikini line. The Dr I have now just does not do vaginal birth after c.section and many doctors don't due to risks of complications. I could have looked for a doctor to let me do vaginal birth, but I just decided to just roll with this one and get things over with.
Yeah that's the only thing that kept me smiling. I should just be grateful that I have a happy, healthy baby! But I can't shake the way I feel. Why can't you birth vaginally, if you don't mind me asking? How was your recoverys from your sections?
I've never had a baby go through the birth canal, and never will. My first was emergency c section, this one will be c section because my dr doesn't want to risk having natural birth, and this will be my last child. I just refuse to keep getting cut. But I understand what you mean. I felt that way a long time. But now I'm totally ok with it. As long as my babies are safe.
