i said technically... answering the question it can be done at 12 weeks... there are studies done on this, that have appeared the Journal: Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology... by professionals... so technically yes the anatomy is there to see the gender... it doesnt work for everybody as there are many factors involved... such as fetal position, amount of amniotic fluid and thickness of the abdominal wall... all this can affect any anatomy scan at any point of pregnancy... but because our technology is getting better, gender is infact visibly present it is very possible

One approach that actually shows a 100% accuracy at 12 weeks for boys and 97% with girls is using the Genital tubercle angle to predict the gender... but when looking for just stucture (3 lines for female, and penis/scrotum for boy) is~ 80% or so) but like i said with a good US machine and tech its totally possible.... again not likely your Dr would tell you until later but it is very possible

A couple of my friends found out at 12 and a half weeks. It just depends. I'm going for an u/s at 13 weeks to see if we can find out. By 12 weeks the sex organs or fully formed. And if they baby is positioned right they can see

My mom told me at 13 weeks . She found out she was having a boy that was almost 7 years ago but everytime they did another ultrasound she had them to keep checking to be sure. Now I'm pregnant for the first time but I'm waiting until my next ultrbasound

12 weeks is too early. I had one done at 14 weeks are the best ultrasound lab in my state and they said they were 80% sure it was a boy. Went back at weeks for my anatomy scan at 18 weeks to find out it was really a girl!

Technially if you have a good US machine and tech you can see the sex of the baby at 12 weeks but like the prev post said the Dr most likely wont tell you until the 18-22 week ultrasound as there is less chance of getting the sex wrong at this point...  so its safe to say unless you go get a private one done that you should assume at the anatomy US which like i said is routinely done at 18-22 weeks :)

I think around 16 weeks, but most dr.'s wait until around 20 weeks. I'll find out at 18 weeks.
