Cervix position

My cervix is low, soft and open. I read that pre and post ovulation, it sits low and is hard and closed. During ovulation is it high, soft and open. What does it mean when it's a combination? Also, increased CM. Any thoughts?

Yeah OPKS can be really confusing if there not the digital ones. I did some Clear & Simple and let me tell u they wernt so bloody simple LOL it was one of them the test line had to be as dark or darker than the control line but i did them and they did have 2 lines just not as dark so i couldnt understand how it could show up positive but mean ur not ovulating, It all gets abit of a pain, CP you cant tell off alone, BBT you can only tell once youve ovulated and OPKS unless digital are confusing.
For me personally i think the whole BBT,OPKs,CP & CM get way too complicated and i also believe if you concerntrate on something too much your body does the oposite, plus i was getting way more upset than i should have been when AF arrived i was like iv done everything known to man and still not caught, so were TRYING (haha) to relax, we tend to BD everyday from CD9-CD20 just incase of late ovulation or ovulating twice.

Aww good luck with your TTC journey---its not for the faint hearted haha!!

Thanks, girls! It is so confusing. I used an OPK this month, but that has me even more confused.. I got 3 positives! I just don't know what to think. Keep your fingers crossed for me, though!

From what i know and what i go off high, soft & open is when your in your most fertile period, low, hard & closed not fertile. If you get confused you can type in google my beautiful cervix that is excellent at explaining and exactly how you should check your cervix like you should check when lay down or stood up not when sat down because the bowl can push the cervix down ect a little complicated if your just starting to check can take months to know your own body (so to speak lol)
Agree with above poster also egg-white CM your entering most fertile period you will notice after CM becomes alot thicker & creamier.
But CP isnt really a very acurate way of telling if your going to ovulate as your cervix will change so much during a cycle a mix of CP, Checking CM and BBT altogether will give you a better idea.

Good luck & hope this helps :)

I get so confused sometimes with cervix positions, but a good sign for me was watching CM. When it was like egg whites, thin and stretchy, I knew ovulation was approaching. Once I ovulated, it became thick and then eventually had nothing and would get my period or if the thick cm stayed around longer than usual, I was usually preggo. But that's just how my body works. Hopefully someone else can help you with the cervix position...I get lost when it comes to that. lol
