Chances of pregnancy after birth

I have a beautiful 7 1/2 week old baby boy!  I stopped bleeding completely about a week ago.  My husband and I had sex two nights ago.  Yesterday and today I've had ewcm and cramping!!!!!  I'm exclusively breastfeeding my son so I was hoping to have a few months of no period.  However, he is sleeping 5 - 7 hours at night so that might make me start my period sooner.

We tried for 5 years to have my son with a miscarriage along the way so we decided that we would not prevent pregnancy. I just thought we would have more time.  We would be thrilled (though scared to death) if I were to become pregnant so soon.

What do you think my chances are?  Could it just be normal CM and I'm not ovulating?  I don't have any OPK's and I don't know how accurate they would be this soon after birth.

I found out I was pregnant with this pregnancy when my son was barely 3 months so I got pregnant around 8 weeks post partum. I didnt BF though. Wait two weeks and test to see if you actually got pregnant again!

Lol true! But I agree. If the good Lord blesses you with another baby after trying for so long I would say hey its a blessing!

I'm pretty sure that it's ewcm.  It's been a few days since we had sex and it was still there yesterday.  Maybe the cramping is from sex, who knows.

I don't necessarily want kids this close, but it took us 5 years with tons of fertility treatments to have our second so I wouldn't be upset.  We aren't trying, but we aren't going to prevent.

I guess we'll find out in 2 weeks one way or another.

And no joke...having sex in the hospital is wrong on so many levels!

I breastfed for the first 2 months and had unprotected sex and didn't get pre go. Maybe I got lucky but like Mikaleen said there's always that 10% chance.

When I had my daughter I was told no sex for 6 weeks after giving birth. I thought that rule was pretty universal (or at least 4 wks). How did your friend get pregnant while in the hospital?

Are you sure it's EWCM and not from your husband? Cramping could just be from the sex, I cramped for the first 5 months after my daughter was bron, during and for a couple days after sex.  I am pregnant now but a few days after we do the deed I have what seems like EWCM.

It is always possible, but I believe that exclusively BF'ing is something like 90% effective for the first 6 months as long as no food or supplementation is introduced.  Of course, that means that 10% fall into that category where it is not effective for them.

That is crazy! I didn't even want  the nurses touching my vajay. Let alone sex lol. I would say it is possible. Just wait a couple weeks and if your not trying to get pre go use condoms. Take a test in about three weeks.
