Why do parents Christian their baby at such young age? christening is the same as baptism right? If so then how can you baptize someone who doesn't even know the meaning of christianity? My mom did that to me and my sinners (sisters)lol but we didn't even know the meaning and I totally think it's unfair, that's my opinion. What do you girls think?
It's a personal decision. I myself am a devoute catholic and will be baptising baby early. It is said that unbaptised babies do not go to heaven

In the old days they did infant baptism or christenings because infant death was so common. Usually Catholics did it to make sure there babies went to heaven. There is still an age of accountability which means its up to your parents to teach you about the sacraments.
