Clueless

This is my first pregnancy and I'm clueless as to what I should and shouldn't be doing right. Everyone I know hasn't had a child for 20 years or so and keeps telling me different things. I'm so confused please help!

You'll get a million different answers from a million different people. Exercise,  you can still basically do the things you would normally do, unless what you normally do is bench pressing a buick. Lol. Try to eat healthy food, fruits proteins things like that (that is harder than it sounds) limit caffeine and try to avoid foods high in mercury like tuna.

There is a lot of misinformation in this thread.

No alcohol.  Recently the American Academy of Pediatricians came out with this very stern warning.  No alcohol whatsoever.

https://www.aap.org/en-us/about-the-aap/aap-press-room/pages/AAP-Says-No-Amount-of-Alcohol-Should-be-Considered-Safe-During-Pregnancy.aspx

There are hot dogs that have no preservatives and those are the ones you can eat safely,  pregnant or not,  because they have no nitrates or nitrites in them,  which will not steam off.  Oscar Meyer Selects is one brand.  They're a little more expensive than other hot dogs.

Google a list of fish with "little mercury".  You can eat unlimited amounts of those,  and they're good for you.  Farmed catfish,  domestic crab and tilapia are among the list.

Have you had app with the doctor yet? If not should do so as you need to see how far along you are and have your scan, not allowed to eat deli foods such as ham amd all that if you do make sure its well heated before so, only allowed 500grams of fish a fortnight and not allowed any other seafood as it all has alote of mercury in it and can harm bub, drink plenty if water my doc said coffee is ano no and its too much for bub but you can ask your doc about that, make sure you start taking your vitamins ask your doc witch one is the best i take the breastfeeding ones has everything you need in them, hope this helped, ask your doc for anything you dont kniw

Up to 200mg of caffeine a day. Actually some seafood is okay but because of mercury they prefer that you don't. If you eat deli meat they say to heat it up in the microwave for a few seconds and hotdogs are okay as long as you see the steam comes off of them. No unpasteurized juices or cheeses. Also need to stay away from anything that has raw eggs in it.

Its best to not go past 1 cup of coffee. I'd look up on YouTube or ask Ur Dr some good pregnancy excersices u could do. If u normally excersice that helps also. Don't eat anything from under the sea cooked or raw. They say don't eat hotdogs but I did.

If you asked more specific questions,  it might be better.  I don't think anyone wants to write everything they know about pregnancy.  Do you have questions about diet,  exercise,  medical procedures,  etc?
