Conception date accuracy

I desperately need some input here. Im going a little bit crazy. I have a friend who is a girl (not a girl friend) who has a boyfriend. I had recently had a one "time" sexual encounter with her on June 17th between 11pm and 1am the 18th (not sure). About two and a half weeks later I get a text from her saying she is pregnant. The doctors told her she was six weeks along. I hear from her a few days later wanting to know the exact date we had sex cause the doctor told her that when they said "six weeks along" that it was really two weeks less than that for conception. This would have her conception date around June 8-10. I hear back from her AGAIN around the 23rd of July saying that the doctors saw that she wasn't as far along as they thought and that conception was between the 15th and the 17th of June. I feel like a yo-yo on a sting woven with certainty and doubt! How accurate are these tests with the doctors changing their statement all the time? Is the date of conception and date of intercourse the same? If the most recent time I gave is accurate, is it still possible I am the father? Thank You for your input.   -John

you may well be the father. if she was having sex with her boyfriend as well, so could he. it's like joy says...you're playing a guessing game. dna testing is really the only way to go here.

P.S. Sperm can live up to 5 days in the vagina. Plus implantation can take 7-12 days after ovulation. So you can see that leaves over 2 weeks of room to make any guess on when conception occurred.

Conception dates are just a guess. And since you already know about paternity tests- don't stress yourself out trying to guess. It just won't work. She can get a paternity test while pregnant via an amnio. However there is a risk of miscarriage. And it is up to her if she wants to go through that or not (long needle inserted into the uterus).

OK. the dr. makes a guess in the being of when the due date will be going of her last period....She girls know to the date when there last period was, some dont and just guess......I am sure the 2nd time she called you she just had a ultasound done and that is the close in accurate one can get.....so it prob could be your baby....Now was she also having sex with her boyfriend at the same time?? If so....You already know only a DNA test can tell you forsure!! Good luck.
