My SIL and I both have PCOS. She is a skinny little rail... and I'm not! You do not have to be overweight. You need to find out what is going on. 3 years is a very long time to try to conceive and you may need assistance from your doctor.
I agree with both ladies above the only thing I can add is that PCOS is genetic so it is possible that you have it also. And PCOS has a 50% miscarriage rate in the first trimester if untreated so that could be why you lost your little one.
I'd encourage you to visit your ob/gyn to discuss fertility drugs that help stimulate and regulate ovulation. He/she should also perform an initial set of blood tests to ensure your levels are within healthy ranges. There's a full range of diagnostic tests that can be performed. If you're still at a loss when TTC, I'd encourage you to have your ob/gyn make a referral to an RE.
hi there just to let you know you dont have to be overweight to have PCOS.. women in the normal weight range also have pcos.. and most women will not have the same symtoms as the next. Have you had bloods done to test hormone levels ? I was on the depo shot for 2 yrs then after had a coil fitted. I came off birth control and my periods have been irregular since.. which is a year and a half .. Ive just found out i have PCOS ..
