what is better for your newborn a moses basket or a cot from birth? Really undecidedd

Swings, Pack-N-Plays, bassinets and slings are all safe, but Moses baskets have been found to be at fault in some smothering deaths.  I don't know if there is a language difference between what you are describing and the kind they are describing, though.  The kind that has been found to be dangerous is the woven one, an actual basket with tall sides, a hood and handles ( the wicker is soft and flexible).  Babies look cute in them so people buy them.

I'm buying both, just because I don't think I'd be able to have a tiny baby looking lost in the cot.
