Cyst on brain

Okay im high risk and im 10 weeks today and had my first sonogram and the lady said my baby has cysts on its brain. She said she going to send them to my high risk dr and have them look the sonograms and theres nothing to worry about right now . Has anyone else experienced this bc im freaking out and i dont know what to do right now.

My son had that. I was told it was nothing to worry about and it is just something that happens when the brain is forming. Almost all babies have it at some point, it's just a matter of when your ultrasound is and if the cyst is showing at the time. I was freaked out by it but at the next scan it was gone as expected. The only time you need to worry is if there are other abnormalities along with the brain cyst. Hope that helps, mama!

My sister was told her son had cysts on the brain and sent to a specialist for another ultrasound 3 days later, and by then they were gone. I guess it's pretty common and probably happens in most pregnancies, it's just the chances of you having an ultrasound on a day it's still visible before they disappear. I'm hoping the same for you. You're in my prayers. <3

I don't have any experience with this, but I know how hard is it to have a medical situation with a bunch of unknowns- keep us updated on how you and baby are doing- wishing you all the best!

Haven't experienced it but I've read a thread on it on Netmums and they all said by the time they went for there follow up scan it was gone and their children where born healthy and have grown up to be fine x
