Depression and pregnancy?

I've been feeling really depressed lately. To the point of contemplating suicide. The only reason I'm holding on is because of my baby but idk if I can hold on much longer. Any advice from moms who have gone through this?

Being a positive outlet... writing, meditation, reading, talking to the baby, collages, or scrapbooking are good ways to just let go of reality. Trust me I know how u feel, Im going through it now but remember there's another person thats involved thats what keeps me afloat when I feel myself sinking in my depression. Have faith or pray if you believe in any religion.

Yeah I personally don't want to take any medications, I don't even take Tylenol. I've been thinking about writing in a diary, so I'll try that but the only outlet that had helped me in the past was cutting and that's not an option..

Btw I dont like to take meds but its a personal choice. I rather be able to help myself instead of relying on medications but ericatoday is right your doc could help with a prescription.

Ive been struggling with the same thing. ..the only thing I can say is that our babies need us like we need them, we have to stay strong! Ive been trying to write out my feelings like in a diary which has helped a bit. Im a ftm so my only suggestion is to find an outlet that allows you to let go & feel free to find a happy place. Writing & singing is like meditation to me, do you have anything that makes you feel good or happy?
