Okay so  i had a D and C done back in nov. And i still haven't had a period. I took a pregnancy test today and it was positive, could  this be a false positive?  i didn;t know and i had a dental app last week and had xray done and since i didn't have a period before becoming pregnant are my chances of miscarriage higher? my breast are so sore. please

Not to be nosey but did you have a d&c for a m/c or for irregular periods? I had one for irregular periods so I did not have hcg in my system. I had a period Nov. 19th and got pregnant between Dec. 8-15. I don't know if not having a period would affect it or not. Hopefully not. I had tried for so long to get pregnant but had been told that I had stopped ovulating. Luckily, the d&c caused something to change.

After a D&C your hcg levels go back to 0, you probably haven't had a period because they count your d&c as your m/c as your first period and you must have gotten pregnant before even getting another period! Congrats!!

I had a D&C Nov. 2 for irregular periods. I got pregnant in December. You need to call your doc. Congrats.

You don't get false positives because you have to have those hormones in your body to make the test come up positive. Call your doctor

It's a strong possibility you're pregnant. The HCG levels would have gone back to 0 from November.

The chance of it being a false positive is very slim (unless it's a defective test)
