Most doctors won't check your cervix until 38 weeks. You also have to remember that she has other patients that are going through the same things you are and asking the same questions and most things are pregnancy related. I didn't take classes with my first or my second and I wish I would have it really does help. Good luck mama
I had a different ob in the beginning that I loved, but I moved and there wasn't many to choose from in the area. I'm glad that she's doing what she's supposed to, but she still hasn't checked my cervix for dilation yet. But idk when she's supposed to.
I've had 2 obs and am on my 3rd pregnancy, I've never had anyone treat me like that. Plus I've had male drs. I just haven't really heard great things about female Dr's from my friends and family who have had one so I tend to k Ean more toward the male dr. If you can put up with 3 more visits before baby and a postpartum then stick with her. Luckily Dr's aren't even there until it's time to deliver the baby, you will mostly be dealing with nurses. Hopefully you get a good team and a good dr who is filling 8 for her.
Depending on your insurance the ultrasounds may be true. I've only had two which is normal. However, she shouldn't talk to you like you're dumb. These are legitimate questions for a first time mom. Taking classes is honestly very beneficial and given the fact your dr isn't helpful you probably missed out a lot on what you could've learned. Also, being this far into your pregnancy she's spending the right amount of time with you. As long as she's measuring your stomach, making sure your blood pressure is adequate and checking your cervix. She is doing her job. You just know what to do next time around
She switched my due date from my original date, which is 3 days morr and still gives me papers on the previous week. She doesn't even remember my name or what i'm having.
