Impatiently waiting

I'm 13+5 and I just want to know the gender of my baby! My next appt is Oct 14 but I heard that you can find out gender at 15 weeks. I'm thinking of going to another doctor just to do so. I don't like surprises I just want to know.

I just checked and I'll be 17 weeks when I go to the doctor. :( I'm praying for a healthy baby but a little boy would be nice.

Hmm...I kinda think that was the ultrasound tech! I would be a mess if that happened to me!

My sister found out at 15 weeks she was having a girl and they started buying things they had so many clothes and the room almost done, then at 20 or 22 weeks they told her it was a boy. She was so upset they had to redo everything. So yes you can find out at 14/15 weeks sometimes it will be right but it's more accurate if you wait..... Trust me I am very impatient also, and absolutely hate surprises but I'm trying to wait I don't want to do the same thing she did.

I wish people wouldn't be so quick to say you can't find out until x weeks... :/

I found out normal scan at 12weeks -
people gave it all that sayin it was "an educated guess' " impossible etc... well he's still a boy now I'm 6mths x

The genitals form at 14 weeks, so yes you can find out. Many, many women have and do.

Switching doctors doesnt mean youll know the gender. The genitals arnt even developed yet. I found out at around 18 weeks, before that they tried and couldnt see anything, so its best to wait.

We found out it was a girl at 15 weeks through normal ultrasound. If baby is in a good position, try!
