Emergency??? -- UPDATE

A few hours ago I posted here letting you all know that I almost fainted, along with other weird symptoms at 14 weeks. I called the doctor's office and they got me in today.

Everything is fine! Evidently a lot of women have been in this week with the same concerns. There's a stomach bug going around and I guess it takes us pregnant women a little longer to recuperate, ha!  It would seem that standing long enough to boil some noodles was too much for me and I wasn't as better as I thought I was lol.

I was worried about high blood pressure. Blood pressure was fine when I went in but the nurse, who I adore by the way, she's amazing, explained to me that it sounded like I may have had LOW blood pressure during the incident, causing the lightheaded-ness. She actually said when she was pregnant the same happened to her and she actually fainted in a Friendly's! I was told to stay hydrated and to drink plenty of water. So to all you ladies out there getting over an illness? Take maybe a week longer than you need before you act like you're better again. XD It'll save you some worrying.

The doctor came in and immediately started doing the Doppler for the heartbeat, so I guess I worried about them not doing that for no reason, because they clearly do lol. I got to hear my little one's heartbeat -- unfortunately without Steve; he was at work. We were going to go in on the 23rd so we could both hear it, so I'm a little bummed for him about that. It's also clear that little Elizabeth/Jacen is moving around just fine, since the doctor had to move to re-find the heartbeat a few times LOL.

I go back on the 16th of January and they'll do the blood screening for Down Syndrome and stuff, and probably schedule the 20 week ultrasound then. So excited, and such a relief hearing the heartbeat! Good to know my baby is thriving even as I'm heaving into the toilet all night. XD

I fainted in Walmart just the other day! I've been sick too! I was with my sister in law, who is a nurse, and she ran into a friend. We stood in the baby isle for about 30 minutes, and then all of a sudden I started to feel dizzy. I told her I didn't feel too well, and before I knew it I was sitting on my knees with my sister in laws arms under my armpits. She said I just fell forward and if her friend hadn't caught my face it would have been nasty. I was afraid it was blood pressure or my heart. I recently had heart surgery so I was terrified that it was my heart. She had a blood sugar tester, and my blood sugar happened to be very low! So also make sure you're eating often too!

I'm glad yall are ok hun! I had a fainting spell at work around week 22 because of low bp. I made it to a chair right as the last of my vision was black, but everything turned out ok.
