my friend needs advice

Hi, my friend has been ttc for 16 months now, she started her period on friday 30th april, and was a normal 28 day cycle, but during her period she started getting lower back ache and and a dull ache in the left lower abdomen, she knows you can still have a period and still possibly become pregnant, this has been happening since sunday, if anyone can advise it would be appreciated.

These sound like usual PMS things but I would suggest to your friend that she take a pregnancy test if she thinks she may be pregnant.

I would say she is just feeling regular menstrual symptoms. You can have bleeding around the time you would normally get your period if you were pregnant but it's usually quite different.
