Another question about recovering from c-section

I noticed a small hard spot underneath my staples in my incision, is this normal?! I'm so scared something got sewed into it! It hurts a little bit there, could this just be it healing? I've NEVER had surgery so this kind of thing is new to me haha.

He says it's normal, where they knotted my internal stitches, he said my incision looks great so he doesn't think it's an infection at all, thank you ladies!

I had the same thing happen to me, I actually didn't have staples but whatever it's called where they just do the internal stitches and put something over the incision to make it stay closed, if that makes sense. I had a couple places open on my incision up to four months after and they said it was just the internal stitches coming out. I went to the doctor about it, and they just said keep it covered with antibacterial medicine on it (like neosporin (sp)) The spots I had would be hard, a little painful, and hot feeling. I still have hard spots on my incision and it's been almost 13 months, it's just scar tissue. I was freaking out when it kept opening, I think it did it 4 or 5 times...but the doctor's said it was normal, and the scar tissue is of course normal. It's good that you have your doctor's appointment tomorrow, they can tell you for sure what it is. If you have any other questions about c-sections you can PM me, I can try to answer whatever it is, it has been over a year since mine but I do remember quite a bit.

Keep an eye on it.  It could be some scar tissue developing or might be sign of infection.  If you develop fever, oozing, redness call your doctor right away.
