Freaking out..
So I ordered a steak lettuce wrap from panera bread and I thought it was cooked steak but it looked weird to me and tasted weird after I ate some so I called panera and they said it's rare steak! I threw it away and now I'm so scared I'm about to make myself throw up.. Has anyone had this? Or know how much of a risk it is?!

IDK I called to ask how it was cooked and she said really rare! So I looked it up if that was ok & everything was like NO, so it scared me! But thanks everyone lol I feel better now
@shinieshoes lmfao ignore that comment I was thinking raw for some dumb reason!!! I live in California and I eat my meat very bloody as well hahaha I thought she was thinking she was freaking out about raw meat lol my mistake
Lol @calico236 thank u jeez my pregnancy brain is messed up! I forgot rare is just really bloody not raw hahaha.. but In general most restaurants dont choose to cook meat any less then medium rare because customers complain about getting sick and they dont want the issues... but rare meat is safe as long as it wasnt raw like the girls said :) so sorry my pregnancy brain has been bad today
I used to order rare streak all the time! Where do you live that it is illegal? I've never heard of that! Not trying to be rude!nI'm honestly just curious.
They say not to eat rare streak because of e coli. I'm sure your fine hun. It's just a precaution. They also say not to eat cold cuts because of Listeria but tons of people eat it and are just fine!
If it's just rare I wouldn't freak out. If you actually get sick it could be food poisoning and that warrants a trip to the doctor. If you don't get sick no need to worry.
What do u mean rare... its illegal to serve rare meat anywhere and they can be shut down.. if u mean medium rare with pink in it dont stress I only eat medium rare meat sometimes bloodier then most and I love it my baby is healthy no concerns ull be ok its not chicken
