HCG Levels Not Really Do Much

I was on Clomid 50 mg days 4-8 (1st round) LMP 10/17. Monday 11/17 went to dr and had blood levels checked for pregnancy. HCG levels were a -2. So I wasn't pregnant. Then the following Monday 11/24 I decided to take a hpt and got a faint positive. So I went to the dr that afternoon and she did more blood work. Wed. 11/26 I got the results and my HCG- 73 and Progesterone- 6.9. So she gave me a prescription for Progesterone suppositories (400mg) and raised my Meftormin (PCOS meds) to 1500 mg. I also got more blood work that day. So I started the suppositories that night. I waited until friday 11/28 to get my results. HCG- 69 & Progesterone- 4.5 (so everything was going down). So I went to the emergency room hoping I would get some answers. They did more blood work and HCG went back up to 71. I asked them if I was miscarrying and they said that they couldn't answer that but it doesn't look promising because my levels are supposed to double every 48-72 hrs and they're not. So I went home very depressed. Monday 12/1 I went back to the dr's and she told me that its a non viable pregnancy and shewill do blood work every week until my levels are back to 0. So yesterday (Monday 12/1) I had HCG checked. Today she called me and told me that my levels went up to 102. She says it still doesn't matter that I am still going to lose the pregnancy. So she wants me back tomorrow to check the levels again.
I figured out though, that my levels (after 2 days of progesterone went back up to 71 then 48 hrs later they went up to 102. Maybe my levels will double every 72 hrs instead. I am praying that my levels will be up alot more tomorrow.
Has this happened to anyone before. I have been though 2 miscarriages before and I have never felt pregnant like I do now. I have been trying to have this baby forever.
Someone please let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Aleen

Some hcg levels go up every 72 hours, and don't always double, I think if they go up by 60% their still good and rising.  So it may all of a sudden spike and what not soon.  Don't let your doctor try to do anything to make a miscarriage happen, or the d&c...  I think thats what it is.  Tell her you want to ride it out to see.  Atleast get to 8 to 10 weeks before deciding anything.  That way when 7 weeks rolls around you can get an u/s to see!

The time frame for doubling can be as much as 72 hours. In 48 hours it needs to double at least 80% to be a viable pregnancy.
