HCG Levels

My last period was 09/29. I tested positive on my first home test on 10/26. On 10/31 my Dr office confirmed I was pregnant. On 11/10 I started spotting brown, so the next day 11/11 I went to my doctors for a hcg blood test and an ultrasound. My hcg level was 1900 and my ultrasound measured at 5 weeks so all they could see is a sac. I have continued to spot going back and forth between pink and brown since Thursday and so I went back today 11/14 and my hcg level was only 2200. I don't go back for another ultrasound until Friday. The doctor didn't seem worried that my level did not double in 3 days and said I would have to wait until Friday to see if there is a heartbeat. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? What is going on with me I am so worried....

cramping can be a sign of your uterus expanding , brown discharge is old blood, which is good, its not fresh, I've had this in some of my pregnancies and they have turned out ok, but I've also had it in a couple and I ended up by miscarring, so its one of those times when the scan will show if your pregnancy is going ok. They will also look for any sign of where the bleeding/spotting is comming from, it may well be from your cervix as its very swollen during pregnancy due to hormone levels and small blood vessels can burst quite easily

Once your levels reach over 1200 they generally take longer to double, usually around 90 hrs, when they're at the level yours are ultrasound is the best way to check if the pregnancy is viable rather than hcg levels, so its easier said than done but try not to worry at this stage
