Those who have been induced...

I'm getting induced this Thursday and I've heard there is a higher risk of having a csection if you are induced. At what point or what factors make it so they opt to go for a csection?

I was in labor for 18 hours before the put me on pitocin because my water was broke and i wouldnt dialate any more than 3 cm and with in 2 and half hour i was pushing my baby out and only pushed for 30-45 mins. And i got the epidural early. So i felt almost all of it. But i believe that the best part was once the babys out so much pain is relieved !

I was induced with my first. Labor was nice, fast, & smooth. It all depends on your boby & baby.

I think they opt for csection if baby isnt coming down after a certain amount of time and once water has been broken for 24hrs i was induced w my 1st i was on pitocin for almost 24 hrs and i delivered him vaginally no problem ..

its all up to your doctor..to be honest, i dont like the idea of being induced because of my experience.. but every woman is different.. i had gone into labor for 15 long hours because i got induced.. had a big baby.. it was the longest that i've been in so much pain.. my doctor didn't want me to have a c section because she said it heals longer..
