HOW TO CALCULATE A DUE DATE

Hello, Ladies please help me calculate my due date.
I had a positive test on Sunday May 17. Finally i am so excited.
My cycle are sooo irregular. Sometimes I don't even get my periods for months.
How do I calculate my due date?
Last period was on: March 16, 2009.
My cycles are > 50 days or longer.

My doctor kept telling me I am 9 weeks but it's nearly impossible. She is using the 28 cycle chart.

Any suggestions would be apprecited.
thanks

take the first day of your last menstrual period and subtract 3 months then add 7 days.

so if your last period started on may 5th then your appox. due date will be feb12th 2010

Thanks so much to both of you. I am going to call my Doc today and request an early ultrasound. I am just so curious to find out.
My doctor won't even see me before June 3rd.

Thanks again

The only way to calculate a due date right now would be to count 40 weeks from your LMP. So 12-21-09 for now. An early ultrasound can provide a more accurate gestational age and due date. It should be done EARLY in pregnancy for best results. So, request an ultrasound to help date the pregnancy and you'll take all the guess work out of it. Congratulations on the pregnancy. Hope you have a happy and healthy one. :)

Try the Due Date Calculator. Click Trackers & Calculators on the top right and then scroll down until you see a link for the Pregnancy Due Date Calculator. See if that helps...

And congratulations!
