First appointment

So i have my first obgyn appointment and the nurse said it will take an hour. I was wondering what all they were going to do? Will they do a sonogram? I am 8weeks.

My first appt was 6wks+6days & i had a vaginal ultrasound, filled out paperwork and did blood work

First appointments usually consist of a collection of your/partners medical history, establish an estimated due date, address concerns you have and a pelvic exam . I'm not too sure about your clinic but over here in New York they send you to a separate clinic and don't typically send you for a sonogram until around 12/13 weeks

They probably won't do an ultrasound.. but they may schedule one for you! They will confirm pregnancy, do a pap and test for STDs they will do tons of blood work, get you're history and weight.
