Hair colour

Hi ladies.. Does anyone know from which side the genes come from that dominate the hair colour.? My partner has black hair and i am a red head. It doesnt really bother me 2 much what way it will turn out except for the fact that people were always mocking me growing up cause i was a ginger (been called some names over the years) and really dont want that for my little one. My dad had ginger hair so im hoping it will follow the same here and have dark hair but as i said il love my baby no matter what he turns out like. I lack confidence over what i have went thru and dont want the same for my boy. Any replies would be great..:)

My husband is a redhead, I'm dirty blonde and all three of our daughters have strawberry blonde hair and light complexions. But the red in their hair is only obvious in the sunlight.

Any feature comes from the more dominent chromozone. Usually its the darker colors if features that are dominate but sometimes the lighter dominates. Being a red head is actually very rare and special :)
