Bleeding

Im 18 years old, and im about to be 3 months pregnant, i bled through my 1st trimester and the doctor said it was normal,is it normal? Did any of you had this?

I had this happen to me during the first trimester except it was sort of like brownish everywhere i kept looking it said it was old blood so i thought gee its my period until it lasted like 3 weeks. On and off finally it stopped so i decided to go get checked turns out i was already 16 weeks pregnant and since i was losing weight instead of gaining thats why i hadn't suspected anything... I was worried because this didn't happen with my first but dr said i had nothing tp worry about as long as there was no cramping
