Can I get pregnant?

My husband is back from a business trip in 4 days (the 20th) and today is the 16th.  I just took the ovulation predictor and got a happy face.  Im 30 and the first day of my period was 1/5/10 and lasted 3, plus 1 light days as usual.
The ovulation predictor stick is showing a happy face but the actual lines show the control line darker than the result line.  Do I still have a big chance of getting pregnant if we have intercourse on the 20th or by then I wont be fertile anymore.  I am desperate for a baby.
Thank you!!

Smiley face wouldnt be there if you have already ovulated, likely hood is that your body is tsill ovulating or tried but failed all the better that its still trying closer to the date hubby is back.good luck.

I think it is just a small chance if u have to wait till then...also it kinda depends on how many days are in ur cycle from the first day of ur period to the first day of ur next period...if the ovulation said it was positive (u only have about 24-36 hours for the egg to get fertilized....that is why it is better to have sex before u ovulate as opposed to after.  Sperm last from 48 hours to 5 days depending on a lot of things....I wish u well in trying...baby dust to u...Oh one more thing, i would take the ovulation test again the day ur husband is due..there is a small chance that the tester will be off a little depending on ur hormones..those test can indicate around the ovulation time usually within 2 or 3 days...
