I'm on my third 96 count box of newborn diapers. He was almost 8 pounds when he was born and gaining weight really well so odds are you'll go through at least 3, easily.

I say right away is a good time to start.  Buy things like bottles, nuks, toys, a walker, a bouncy chair, a crib, highchair, bath toys n baby soap, dreft laundy detergent, diapers n wipes, really anything u find a good sale on that is gender neutral.  Then once u know the gender u will be able to do the fun shopping for clothes,  shoes, blankets, room/nursery decorations,  n that kind of stuff :) its really up to u n ur situation money wise.

Thanks cakey. I'm 6w 5days.  Trying to get a head start as my husband is on deployment.  Trying to stretch the buying over the 9th period. As I had IVF on bedrest so won't be at work for the next 30th

Hi there i know from expencine that the aldi nappies are really good and have won awards im on my 3rd pregnacy and used them both with my other 2 children. I found huggies and pampers leak but never had any problems with the aldi ones

As soon as you want :) its never really too early . Its better to be prepared. I personally started after i found out i was having a babyboy at 19 weeks. Im a ftm but three of my nephews live in our house since newborns. Id say they use anywhere from 7-10 diapers a day. And dont buy alot of nb ! they grow out of them quick. I only have one box of newborn diapers and i doubt theyll all even get used. Size one starts at 8 lbs anyways.

I use huggies, I also worked in a daycare so I've had experience with every diaper there is. Huggies were always m
y favourite. Walmart brand are decent if you're looking for cheap. They do the job, I just find them kind of chunky and weird when they get wet.

This is my 2nd baby and with both once I felt confident this is a safe pregnancy (after 12 weeks) I bought diapers every pay check in different sizes! It is a nice feeling to know you are set for a while. Also hot lots of wipes. I didn't have to buy more wipes til she was 6+ months. For her 1st Xmas since she was still under 1, I asked for diapers and formula. Baby gets so much clothes and toys from baby showers and grandparents (and you!)

I started buying stuff the day I found out I was pregnant, lol. You need to be cautious about buying diapers. I've heard of women buying a bunch then their baby leaks through the ones they chose, or they're allergic to that brand. Just a heads up!

you can really start buying stuff now.  Diapers, a crib,  bassinett, swing. .. its not going to hurt to be prepared.
