Thank you for all of this information. I think I will try one last time to get pregnant, then I will go to the doctor and figure out what is going on. =)
Try in your upcoming cycle using an ovulation predictor kit (you pee on a stick and it says if you are about to ovulate). It you are not ovulating approx two weeks or more prior to your AF than it's difficult to get/stay pregnant. If you are ovulating you should have sex every 48hrs (every other day) during the time leading up to and a few days after the ovulation. If the ovulation kits say you didn't ovulate during your cycle i would suggest seeing an OB, RE or fertility specialist to identify the problem.
Some people do go on birth control pills for three to six months to regulate their cycle but if you aren't ovulating this option will not help you. Also have your thyroid levels checked and ask to have your hormone levels checked throughout your cycle as this could point to the problem.
Good luck!
I know it seems bad to go on the pill but they are right if you go on it just long enough to regulate you period, then come off of it you have a greater possiblity to get pregnant.
Think about it this way what is 6 months on the pill, to give you your dream, verses, not going on it and not being able to get pregnant due to the irregular ovulation pattern.
If your so relutant to go on the pill I recommend seeing a Reproductive Endocrinologist, maybe they have a better solution to your problem, I know that my RE is great and he is very informative. Don't give up hope on your dream! Thinking it will never happen is not good, cause your body will start to believe you.
Have you seen a doctor at all? It's possible you could have PCOS which can make it harder to conceive, but not impossible. You need to make sure you're actually ovulating beore you try, so see a doctor and work on getting your cycles a little more normal. There's medicines that can help force ovulation if you're not.
