I think they are pretty much the same. Both worked well for my sons. I used the kind with iron. Had to use isomil and prosobee for my girls though due to allergies.
I think both are good. But my son took to the Similac.
If I can't breastfeed I will go with emfamil. I like the reviews, ingredients and the fact that it tastes the closest to breast milk.

We used Similac for the baby I fostered for a while..he had really bad avid reflux and that was the only thing he would tolerate.
I used enfamil for both of mine and they didn't have problems with it. I'm planning on using enfamil again for this one.
Similac is the better choice I would say, but it just all depends on which one your baby takes to better.
The hospital where I deliver gives similac. If my babies can tolerate that well than I will stick with that.
