Is it safe to have a smear?

Hello all,
I'm just wondering if anyone has any thoughts or facts about having a smear test done whilst you are trying to conceive!? If you are mid cycle and ovulating and have a smear test booked and are actively trying to get pregnant etc?

It's perfectly safe and actually a good idea.  It could find something that needs to be taken care of that could actually hinder the TTC process. Plus like jrobertson said if you get pregnant in the next few months they probably wont require you to have another one at your first ob appt.

Nope it's safe to get a pap smear....actually it's probably really good to get one while TTC just in case any problems pop up.  And think of it this way if you get pregnant soon you may not have to have another one repeated when you are pregnant.  Good luck.

Like a pap smear? Those are fine while trying to conceive and during pregnancy.
