I drank all vacation and found out I'm pregnant!~

My husband and I took a 5 day cruise and got home a week ago.  I just found out today that I am pregnant.  Based on my ovulation date this month, I am just about two weeks along.  On the cruise we drank just about everyday, because it was supposed to be our last big "grown-up vacation" before trying for a baby.  Now I'm terrified that I may have harmed my baby.  What are the chances that I have done irreparable damage?

i got pregnant around christmas eve or christmas night.....the holidays. i was a "social drinker" (weekends and holidays....lol) so christmas eve, christmas day ....pretty much every day up until the day after new years (b/w the df's friends and family and mine we had a TON of parties....) i was drinking. the last day i drank b/f finding out i was pregnant was the 4th i think...a week later i found out i was pregnant. i'm now about 10 weeks along with twins and they're perfectly fine.

Thank you for the re-assurance.  I have read so much info online about all of this, and it is so hard to know what to believe because every site says something different.  Some sites say that until the baby implants (usually a week or two in), the baby is not receiving anything from your blood supply, so it's ok.  Other sites say that the alcohol early on can double the chances of birth defects.  It's hard to know what's true.

I wouldn't worry too much....My friend didn't find out that she was pregnant until 3 months along (she would go months without getting a period, went to the Dr.'s for Clomid and they did a test and voila!).....She drank off and on the whole time until she found out...Not to say that's good, but lots of people drink within the week or so before finding out.  Congrats!

Congratulations on the pregnancy!!
When I found out I was first pregnant I had spent the whole previous week drinking and partying... just having fun. My son is now 2 years old and no effects from the drinking have been detected. I informed my doctor of the drinking so he has always kept a close watch on my son, but he is pretty sure by now no problems occured from it.
However, I don't want to say everything is fine, because I am not a doctor. But there certainly is hope that your baby is just fine. Just be sure to inform your doctor about what had happened and hopefully you get a doctor that understands.
Best of luck and congrats again!
