If there is a family history of peanut allergy then definitely DO NOT eat peanut butter while pregnant.  Otherwise I think almost anything is OK in moderation!  :)

i'm with joy....i am a PB&J FREAK since getting pregnant.....however, i think it's one of those things to be enjoyed "in moderation" so rather than laying off, i just tried to fight the cravings by eating something else, or not putting NEARLY as much pb as i normally would.....

I ate peanut butter all through my pregnancy and Riley got very sick when I ate peanut butter while breastfeeding. So I think it's right to assume he is allergic to it. Not sure if they are related. But yeah that's the reason why, allergies.

There's a superstition that your child could develop a peanut allergy if you do. I, however, ate peanut butter every single day and my kids are allergy-free!!!
