Thank you both I am really having a time tracking. All is well I am going to go buy one month of kits. I will start around the 9th of this month :)
You can't count on your calendar all the time. As an example you may ovulate on day 18 of your cycle every month for 9 months then one month you will ovulate on day 16. Many things can affect your cycle...medications, environmental factors, illness, stress, hormonal changes, etc.
By keeping track of other signs such as cervical mucus and position among other symptoms you will learn to predict with a fair amount of accuracy when you will/have ovulated.
Depends on how long you have tracked your cycle for,
Some people have a shorter cycle, or can ovulate earlier than day 12-14, some even ovulate as early as day 8, and then have a longer luteal phase after ovulation so it seems like they have a normal length cycle of around 28 days etc.
if this is your first few cycles of tracking your temperature- do you take it around the same time each day, if you take it orally many things can interfere with that temperature- room temp, dryness of the air (which dries the mouth out), nose or mouth breather- if your a mouth breather i would recommend you take it vaginally as mouth breathing really does mess up temp taking.
The rise could also be a one off abnormality- ie fighting an infection, higher than normal heat.
I would recommend you read taking charge of your fertility by toni weschler. many local libraries carry this book, or see the web site. It explains many aspects of TTC, and the reading of our own bodies to help you attain your goal.
