When to tell

So this is my first pregnancy, im just over 4 and a half weeks along. I heard you were supposed to wait until 12 weeks to tell anyone other than immediate family, how soon is it safe to tell everyone else ?

Ive had two miscarriages so this time around i waited till the 15th week. Chances of a miscarriage drop significantly at 12 weeks (:

Tell people when you are comfortable. My first, I told right away (only about 4 weeks), with my second I waited until 9 weeks, and now I'm on 3rd, I just told everyone and I am 14 weeks.

We found out we were pregnant with twins & told everyone at 8 weeks. At 12 weeks the babies died and I had to have a d&c. We regret telling people so soon and are waiting until 12 weeks now.

This is my third baby an with each I told my family right away an my friends an everyone soon after because I was so excited an God forbid I did lose my baby I would have a lot of support that i would have needed. Everyone is different. Tell people when you feel your ready to

You can tell your family but wait until the end of the first trimester to tell everybody else. I only told my mom and mother in law; we kept it as a secret for about 3 month. Just because you can miscarriage and also u dont want negative vibe arround u!

I have heard that it is after the 12 week mark that the chances go down for miscarriage.

I had trouble keeping it a secret so I probably told people a little early but everything is still going fine. Haven't announced it on Facebook or anything super public like that.

That would be stressful! I'm not currently working, my boyfriend and I decided it's easier with me at home. When do the chances of miscarriage drop drastically?

Up to you. If you know they'll be after your job or something, maybe wait... A coworker of hers is somewhat stalking my friend now and trying to replace her. That's quite a bit of stress.
