Inflated Kidney

I had a level 2 ultrasound done about 3 weeks ago and today I finally got and Dr to tell me the reason I have to go back next month for another 1. She said 1 of the baby's kidneys is slightly inflated..has anyone else had this come up and if so what was the outcome? I foolishly looked it up online only yo be more worried than I was to begin with because it included info about down syndrome...and nd I do recall the tech asking 2 times had I had blood work done to test for it...

My son has the same thing. Most times it clears up on its own before birth from what I was told. My doctor said if he could pick one thing to go wrong on an ultrasound it would be this. I schedule my appointment Friday for my next ultrasound. Having the kidney problem alone isn't usually a sign for down syndrome, it's when is paired with another marker. Try not to worry because it's doing no harm right now and they are keeping an eye on it! Hopefully it clears up for both our little ones!
